Mark Rowden
Responsibilities: Vice Chair, Planning Committee, Lengths man, Bus Stops and Footpaths
I joined Stroud Parish Council in 2021 and have been standing as the Vice Chairman since May 2022. I live in the village with my wife, Fiona, and our two sons. Before that I lived in Petersfield and Steep Marsh, so have a good knowledge of the area.
I manage our family farm, New Buildings Farm in Stroud and previous to this, I was a manager within Hampshire Fire & Rescue Service working in Petersfield, Cosham, Southsea and Gosport, spanning a career of over 20 years. In 2017 we converted two of our farm cottages into “The Old Dairy Farm Nursery” which around 50 local children a day attend.
I have a keen interest in the countryside and the management that goes alongside it. Last year I organised the first Petersfield Charity Tractor Run in aid of Hampshire & IOW Air Ambulance raising over £5050.00.
